Martine Schophuizen

Martine Schophuizen currently serves as a project leader at NRO - The Dutch Initiative for Educational Research, following roles as a research scientist at TNO's Defense, Safety and Security unit and as a postdoctoral researcher at TU Delft's Faculty of Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science. Her academic journey includes a BSc in Cognitive Psychology and MSc in Management of Learning from Maastricht University, culminating in a Ph.D. from the Open Universiteit in 2022 with her thesis "Educational Innovation towards Organizational Development." Her research expertise focuses on the governance and implementation of Open Online Education in higher education institutions, examining organizational conditions for success through mixed-methods research. Her career spans various educational roles, including lecturing at Maastricht University and managing innovation for the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Education and Learning, while contributing to military and public security training innovations through her work at TNO.
