Distinguished Child and Adolescent Mental Health Expert
Martha Isabel Jordan Quintero is a highly accomplished psychiatrist and psychoanalyst with extensive expertise in child and adolescent mental health. A graduate of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in medicine and psychiatry, she further specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at René Descartes University in Paris. Her distinguished credentials include full membership with didactic capacity in the Colombian Society of Psychoanalysis (SOCOLPSI) and recognition as a Child and Adolescent Psychoanalyst by the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA). She serves as an Assistant Professor and coordinates the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Subspecialty at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana's Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health. At the Roosevelt Pediatric Orthopedics Institute, she leads the Observation Sessions program for children with psychosis and severe developmental disorders. Her research and clinical work focus on psychic development, childhood autism, psychosis, and borderline pathologies, contributing significantly to the field through her participation in the Philosophy and Psychiatry Group of the Colombian Psychiatric Association and the Childhood and Adolescence Commission of FEPAL.
