Marta Vilar is the Coordinator of Welcoming Projects at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She holds a degree in Translation and a Diploma in Social Education. Marta works with the ACOF Association, which focuses on enhancing the education of migrant adults through teacher training. Throughout her career, she has combined basic adult education, particularly in languages and literacy, with her work in immigration as an ELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language) and literacy teacher. Additionally, she has coordinated sociolinguistic welcome courses and served as a teacher trainer. Marta has also been involved in research at the University of Barcelona within European Erasmus+ projects and co-authored educational materials such as “¿Hablamos?” for migrants and the “Oralpha, Literacy Method.”
