ETH ZurichMarion Muff is a Teaching Assistant in the Ecosystems and Landscape Evolution research group at ETH Zurich, where she is completing her Master's degree in Environmental Sciences with a focus on Ecology and Evolution. Her research interests include studying biodiversity patterns in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems using environmental DNA (eDNA) techniques. During her studies, she completed a six-month professional internship at the Icelandic Seal Center in Hvammstangi, Iceland, where she developed visitor questionnaires and contributed to seal conservation efforts. Her work focused on understanding tourist behavior impacts on seal populations and improving site management at seal watching locations. At ETH Zurich, she assists in teaching courses related to ecosystem management and environmental sciences, helping students understand biodiversity monitoring and conservation strategies. Her practical experience in field research and conservation management enriches her teaching approach with real-world applications.
