Marcela Georgina Gomez Zermeño holds a Doctorate in Educational Innovation from Tecnológico de Monterrey, complemented by a Master's degree in Engineering Sciences with a focus on Information and Communication Technologies from France Télécoms. She also earned her Bachelor's degree in Computer and Administrative Systems from Tecnológico de Monterrey. As a research professor in the School of Humanities and Education, she teaches in the Doctorate in Educational Innovation, Master's in Educational Technology, and Master's in Education programs. Gomez Zermeño is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) Level 1 and leads the Research and Innovation in Education Group. She has served as the director of the Research Center in Education and is an editor for the "Revista de Investigación Educativa (RIEEGE)." Additionally, she is involved with various educational research projects funded by CONACyT and has been a visiting professor at UNESCO's Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development. Her work focuses on instructional design, active learning environments, and the integration of technology in education, making significant contributions to both academic research and practical applications in educational settings.
