Manuel Roveri earned his Dr. Eng. degree in Computer Science Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in June 2003, followed by an MS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago in December 2003, and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in May 2007. He was a Visiting Researcher at Imperial College London in 2011 and currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Information at Politecnico di Milano. His research focuses on Embedded and Edge Artificial Intelligence, Tiny Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Learning in nonstationary or evolving environments. A Senior Member of IEEE, Roveri has chaired and participated in various IEEE committees, holds one patent, and has published approximately 100 papers in international journals and conference proceedings. He has received notable accolades, including the 2018 IEEE Computational Intelligence Magazine "Outstanding Paper Award" and the 2016 IEEE Computational Intelligence Society "Outstanding Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems Paper Award."
