EdxDr. Manuel Macías García is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus, where he has served since 1994. He holds a doctorate in Engineering from Dresden University of Technology, Germany, and a degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey. His expertise spans Electronics, Power Electronics, and Electric Machine Control, teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses. He has led significant research initiatives, including coordinating the Research Chair in "Robotized Design of Manufacturing Cells" and developing the National Network of Remote Laboratories project. Through collaborations with National Instruments and Siemens Automation & Drives, he has implemented Virtual Instrumentation projects for remote monitoring and control. His contributions include designing and implementing Industrial Electronics laboratories, Electric Machine Control facilities, and Virtual Reality Laboratories for Industrial Automation across multiple Tecnológico de Monterrey campuses
