Malgorzata (Maggie) Trela

Malgorzata (Maggie) Trela is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Immunology at Imperial College London, where she plays a significant role in educating students about immunology and its applications. She obtained her MSc in Medical Forensic Sciences from Queen Mary University of London in 2010, followed by a PhD and postdoctoral research at the University of Wolverhampton. Her research focused on Human Endogenous Retroviruses and their implications in rheumatoid arthritis under the guidance of Professor Paul Nelson. Prior to her current position, she served as a visiting lecturer at Birmingham City University and Wolverhampton University, where she also earned her teaching qualifications.In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Maggie is actively involved in developing online courses on platforms like Coursera, where she teaches multiple immunology courses that have garnered positive feedback from students.
