The University of EdinburghMairi Walker served as the Mathematics Engagement Officer at the University of Edinburgh from January 2016 to March 2017, where she led the development of the "Statistics: Unlocking the World of Data" MOOC. Her academic background includes a mathematics degree from the University of Warwick, with a focus on the history of mathematics, and a PhD from The Open University exploring the intersection of geometry and number theory. Walker's expertise spans public engagement in mathematics, online course development, and secondary school teaching.
