Claudia Maria del Pilar Zapata Del Rio serves as an Associate Professor in Computer Engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, where she has made significant contributions to both academic administration and research. Her expertise focuses on usable and accessible interface design, gamification, and video game development as a member of both the Avatar-PUCP Research Group and the Software Usability and Metrics Research Group. Her administrative roles have included serving as Director of Academic Affairs (2019-2024), where she successfully led initiatives in emergency education during COVID-19 and educational flexibility policies. Her research projects include developing gamified applications for reading comprehension and multimedia software for educational purposes. She has co-produced several educational video games including "Mariano: El último sueño" (2016) and "El Pez Dorado" (2011).
