Olivier Frémond serves as Advisor in the Public-Private Partnerships Cross-Cutting Solution Area at the World Bank in Washington DC, where he represents the World Bank in the G20 Investment in Infrastructure Working Group. After earning his degree in geoscience from Paris VII University, he built a diverse career spanning both private and public sectors. His experience includes roles as a petroleum engineer at Royal Dutch Shell (1980-84), petroleum analyst at Wood Mackenzie, and investment banker at prestigious firms including J. Henry Schroder Wagg, Prudential Bache, and Citicorp. At the World Bank, he served as Country Manager for Gabon, Sao Tome & Principe, and Equatorial Guinea (2006-2010), followed by Country Manager in Benin (2011-2015). His expertise in corporate governance, privatization, and public-private partnerships is reflected in his numerous publications and his leadership of the World Bank's Corporate Governance Department. Through his work, he continues to advance infrastructure development and public-private partnerships across developing nations while sharing his expertise through various World Bank initiatives.
