The University of Hong KongProfessor Lynne DiStefano stands as a distinguished figure in architectural conservation and heritage preservation, serving as one of the three founders of the Architectural Conservation Programmes at The University of Hong Kong where she was the second Director from 2003-2005. Her impressive career includes roles as a professor at Brescia College, Western University in Ontario, Canada, and Chief Curator of Museum London in Ontario. Her international influence in heritage conservation is particularly notable through her work with World Heritage, having been appointed by the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) as one of four World Heritage Advisors in 2008-2009. Since 2007, she has served as an ICOMOS Expert and Technical Evaluator for various World Heritage nominations and Reactive Monitoring Missions, while also maintaining membership in the ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on Interpretation and Presentation of Cultural Heritage Sites.
