Luo Bin, born in December 1967, is a distinguished professor, doctoral supervisor, and expert in software engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in engineering and has received special government allowances from the State Council. As a prominent member of the China Computer Society, he serves in several key positions, including deputy director of the Software Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and professor at the State Key Laboratory of New Technologies for Computer Software. Over the years, he has led numerous national projects such as the National Excellent Engineer Education Program, the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, and the National Engineering Practice Education Base. Luo has played a significant role in advancing software engineering education, earning prestigious awards such as the second prize in the 2014 National Teaching Achievement Awards and multiple provincial teaching honors. His extensive contributions to research include work on the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the 973 and 863 projects. He has authored several important textbooks, including "Computing and Software Engineering" and "Software Engineering Methods for Human-Computer Interaction," and has been recognized as an Outstanding Communist Party Member in higher education institutions in Jiangsu Province.
