Rochester Institute of TechnologyLorraine Justice serves as Dean Emerita and Professor of Design at Rochester Institute of Technology bringing over four decades of expertise in design education and innovation Her career began in industry where she spent 10 years working on digital media products before transitioning to academia after earning her Master's degree and PhD from The Ohio State University Her academic journey includes significant leadership roles as Director of Design at Georgia Tech and Dean of the School of Design at Hong Kong Polytechnic University where she elevated the program to rank among Asia's top four design schools Her contributions to design education and research have earned her numerous accolades including being named one of the top 40 designers by ID Magazine and becoming a Fellow of the Industrial Designers Society of America She has authored influential books with MIT Press including China's Design Revolution and The Future of Design: Global Product Innovation for a Complex World Her expertise spans design thinking strategy industrial design and East-West business relationships She maintains active involvement in the global design community through her roles on editorial boards for five design journals advisory positions for universities and companies and international consulting work for industry and government Her speaking engagements include presentations at TEDx Hong Kong and TEDU Long Beach demonstrating her commitment to sharing design innovation knowledge globally
