Lisa A. Macklin, J.D.,M.L.S.

Lisa A. Macklin has been a pivotal figure at Emory University since joining in 2005, and she became the first Director of the Scholarly Communications Office in 2007. In her role, she collaborates with faculty, students, and staff to navigate copyright law as it pertains to teaching, research, and publishing. Her work focuses on the evolving landscape of scholarship and publishing, particularly in relation to digital formats and the Open Access movement. Through her leadership, the office aims to support and promote innovative models of scholarship that enhance access to academic resources.
