Sexual Health and Family Studies Scholar
Linda Teresa Orcasita Pineda is a distinguished academic and researcher with a background in Psychology and a Master's degree in Family Studies from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Cali-Colombia. As a Professor at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, she directs the Research Group on Well-being, Work, Culture and Society, focusing on families, gender, and sexuality. Her extensive expertise spans over a decade in sexual and reproductive health, gender studies, HIV, family dynamics, and psychosocial intervention. Her significant contributions include collaborations with major international organizations such as UNFPA, WHO, PAHO, UNESCO, and UNDP, particularly focusing on programs for adolescents, young people, families, and health professionals. Her leadership as a consultant and researcher has shaped important initiatives in public health and family studies across Colombia and beyond
