Len Polizzotto is a renowned expert in business development, with a focus on innovation best practices, having pioneered frameworks like the "Three Cs" for identifying new opportunities and "Value Factor Analysis" for enhancing product value. He has held key leadership roles, including Vice President at Draper Laboratory, where he led new programs and established critical facilities such as the Bioengineering Center at USF and a multi-chip module facility. Prior to Draper, Polizzotto was Corporate Vice President at SRI International, where he founded research centers in drug development and oceanography, and at Polaroid Corporation, where he developed new consumer and industrial products. He also directed the Center for the Globalization of Technology at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and has led two biomedical startups in recent years. Polizzotto, a Charter Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, holds 12 patents and has authored numerous articles and books on innovation, color perception, and drum set instruction. His academic achievements include a Ph.D. from Tufts University and executive education from UVA’s Darden School of Business.
