The University of Hong KongDr. Lee Ho Yin is a distinguished figure in architectural conservation, serving as the co-founder and longest-serving Director of the Architectural Conservation Programmes at The University of Hong Kong. In 2015, his role expanded when the unit was elevated to a Division, where he became the founding Head. Before joining The University of Hong Kong in 2000, he worked as a practicing architect in Hong Kong and Singapore, eventually becoming an Associate Director of an architectural practice in Hong Kong. His expertise in built-heritage conservation has earned him numerous prestigious appointments, including serving as an advisor for significant projects such as the identification of Singapore's first UNESCO World Heritage Site. His professional affiliations include membership in the Antiquities Advisory Board, Founding Vice-President of The Hong Kong Institute of Architectural Conservationists, Associate Member of The Hong Kong Institute of Architects, and Honorary Affiliate Member of the American Institute of Architects (Hong Kong Chapter). As a well-published academic and experienced practitioner, Dr. Lee has been consistently appointed by government agencies in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and overseas as an advisor and consultant for various conservation projects.
