Laura Rojas Sánchez is the Environmental and Social Sustainability Advisor to the Vice Presidency of Knowledge and Sectors at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). She coordinates efforts to integrate sustainability across all aspects of the Bank's work. Recently, she led the drafting of the IDB's new Environmental and Social Policy Framework. Rojas Sánchez is also the principal author of the Bank's Sector Framework on Environment and Biodiversity. Over the past 15 years, she has led numerous operations in energy, infrastructure, and environment. She holds a Master's degree in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics (LSE), a Master's in Environmental Economics and Natural Resources from the Universidad de los Andes and the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.
