Krystal Banfield

Krystal Banfield, Ed.D., serves as the Vice President for Education Outreach at Berklee College of Music, where she leads Berklee City Music's programming and strategic initiatives to establish it as the premier creative youth development program in contemporary music, dance, musical theater, entrepreneurship, and music production. With over 30 years of experience in higher education administration and nonprofit arts management, Krystal is a published educator, concert singer, and an award-winning advocate for community and youth arts. Her notable achievements include developing the interdisciplinary middle-level band music curriculum series BandQuest®, creating the Composers Suitcase® curriculum for elementary schools, and managing teaching artists across various disciplines. Krystal's dedication to scaling creative arts initiatives has significantly impacted educational practices across the United States, making her a vital force in promoting excellence in the arts for young people.
