IIM IndoreDr. Kousik Guhathakurta holds a PhD in Economics from Jadavpur University (2012), where his thesis examined the validity of the Geometric Brownian Motion model and the Black-Scholes framework, shaping his research in empirical finance, econophysics and nonlinear dynamics. With over two decades of academic experience, he is a Professor at IIM Indore and has taught at IIM Kozhikode and the Army Institute of Management. His industry experience includes managerial and engineering roles at Mitsui Babcock, Thermax and METCO. He has published widely, co-authored a book, supervised PhD scholars, held key administrative roles and delivered executive programmes in strategic financial management.
