UC Berkeley College of EngineeringKosa Goucher-Lambert is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, where he also holds affiliate positions in the Jacobs Institute of Design Innovation and the Berkeley Institute of Design. He earned his B.A. in Physics from Occidental College in 2011, followed by an M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2014 and 2017, respectively. His research primarily explores decision-making processes in engineering design through a multidisciplinary approach that includes mathematical analysis, computational modeling, human cognitive studies, and neuroimaging techniques. Goucher-Lambert has received several accolades for his work, including the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and multiple awards for outstanding papers at engineering design conferences. He teaches courses focused on integrated product development, addressing complex socio-technical challenges.
