Konstantinos Mersinas

Dr. Konstantinos Mersinas is an Associate Professor at the Information Security Group at Royal Holloway, University of London, where he specializes in the intersection of behavioral economics and cybersecurity. With a strong background in mathematics and extensive experience in the information security industry, he transitioned to academia to explore the human aspects of security, including decision-making and cybercrime. Dr. Mersinas co-founded the HIVE research group, which bridges psychology, law, and cybersecurity to address vulnerabilities in society. His research has garnered funding from the National Cyber Security Centre in the UK, and he has actively contributed to legislative discussions on cybersecurity policies. In addition to his teaching role, he is a Director at the International Cyber Security Center of Excellence and serves as a Visiting Professor at Keio University in Japan.
