As a core member of the Akka team at Lightbend from 2014 to 2018, he made significant contributions across multiple modules including Actors, Persistence, Streams, Clustering, and Typed modules. He served as the lead developer of Akka HTTP during its transition from Spray and played a crucial role in the Reactive Streams initiative, which was later incorporated into Java 9. His expertise in high-performance computing and distributed systems earned him recognition as a Java Champion in 2017. Beyond his technical contributions, he has been instrumental in building developer communities, founding the GeeCON conference and various user groups including Java and Scala communities. He currently works on the Swift Team at Apple in Tokyo, bringing his extensive experience in distributed systems and high-performance computing to new challenges. His achievements include being awarded the JavaOne Rock Star award, receiving recognition for the best master's thesis in e-point's 2015 competition, and maintaining various open-source projects while actively contributing to the broader developer community through international speaking engagements and workshops.
