He furthered his education with an M.Arch. from Yale University in 1989 and gained practical experience by working with Nikken Sekkei, Ltd., and Bernard Tschumi Architects in New York City from 1988 to 1990. In 2002, he founded Yasuda Atelier in Tokyo and returned to academia, achieving a Ph.D. in Architecture in 2006 and being appointed a full Professor in 2007. Yasuda is recognized for his significant contributions to architectural design and education, particularly through innovative projects such as the Tokyo Institute of Technology Library, which has been praised for its unique architectural style.
