The Hong Kong Polytechnic UniversityDr. Kitty Chan serves as Associate Professor of Practice at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University's School of Nursing, where she chairs the School Learning & Teaching Committee. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Health Science from Australian Catholic University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Bath. Her professional qualifications encompass Renal Nursing Certificate, Registered Nurse status, and Fellowship of both the Provisional Hong Kong Academy of Nursing and the Higher Education Academy. As a leader in interprofessional education, she coordinates healthcare programs for over 600 freshmen in the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, while actively leading multiple innovative teaching projects including the v-Care Interdisciplinary Saloon and Virtual Hospital initiatives. Her research interests span spiritual quality of life, brief hope intervention, simulation-based learning, and interprofessional learning. Her contributions to nursing education have been recognized through various teaching awards, and she continues to advance interprofessional collaboration through cross-university projects and innovative teaching methodologies
