Doane UniversityKimberley Meisinger currently serves as Dean of Nursing at Nebraska Methodist College, bringing over 23 years of experience as a professional nurse and 15 years in teaching and higher education administration. Her academic journey includes a BSN from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, MSN from Nebraska Wesleyan University, MS in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Creighton University School of Law, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) specializing in Clinical Systems Administration from Creighton University School of Nursing. Her expertise spans critical care nursing, medical-surgical nursing, and correctional health, complemented by post-doctoral work at Arizona State University focusing on Nursing and Healthcare Innovation. As a board-certified Nurse Executive and certified mediator for Nebraska, she combines clinical expertise with administrative leadership. Her research interests encompass innovation in nursing education, healthcare services, victimology, and routine activities theory. In her role as Dean, she oversees curriculum design, program growth, and addresses complex healthcare challenges including nursing shortages and evolving health conditions. She serves on the board of the International Association of Forensic Nurses and maintains active membership in the National League of Nursing, American Nurses Association, and Nebraska Nurses Association
