Kim Christensen

Kim Christensen is a dedicated clinician and educator at the University of Minnesota's Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing, where she emphasizes whole-person health care and advocates for health equity, social justice, and ethical entrepreneurship. With expertise in acupuncture and East Asian medicine, Kim supports patients of all ages with a variety of health concerns, including chronic medical conditions, reproductive health, mental health, and trauma. She is particularly passionate about providing comprehensive care for LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, focusing on family planning and gender-affirming treatments. Her approach is rooted in transparency, empowerment, and honoring the lived experiences of her patients.In addition to her clinical work, Kim teaches courses such as Acupressure, which explores the principles and applications of acupressure for symptom management and self-care. Her dedication to honoring the Indigenous roots of East Asian Medicine reflects her commitment to integrating traditional practices with modern healthcare approaches.
