Indiana UniversityDr. Kenneth Carow serves as Executive Associate Dean of Faculty and Research and Professor of Finance at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business Indianapolis. With a Ph.D. from Purdue University and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, he brings over 25 years of experience in finance education and research. Carow teaches courses in corporate finance, financial risk management, and financial institutions at both undergraduate and graduate levels, earning ten teaching awards during his tenure. His research primarily focuses on banking, debt design, and financial institutions, with 26 published papers in leading journals such as the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Strategic Management Journal. Beyond academia, Carow serves on the Board of Directors for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and previously held positions on the boards of Lutheran High School Indianapolis and the Midwest Finance Association. His expertise in healthcare management and understanding of both for-profit and non-profit organizational structures makes him particularly effective in teaching financial concepts to healthcare professionals in the Physician MBA Program. Carow's commitment to excellence in teaching was recently recognized when he was named among the "Favorite Professors of Executive MBAs" by Poets and Quants in 2023.
