Keng Hsu

Dr. Keng Hsu is an Associate Professor of Advanced Manufacturing at Arizona State University and serves as the Head of Technology at Reverb Industrial, where he pioneers new methods in metal additive manufacturing. With over 15 years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and materials science, Dr. Hsu earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009. His research focuses on advanced manufacturing processes that encompass both top-down (subtractive) and bottom-up (additive) approaches, exploring scalable nano-manufacturing, hybrid nanomaterials for energy applications, and the development of innovative manufacturing techniques. Dr. Hsu has contributed significantly to the field with over 60 journal publications and patent applications, supported by funding from organizations such as NSF and DOE. His patents on novel materials fabrication techniques are being licensed by major manufacturers in the 3D printing industry, reflecting his impact on the advancement of manufacturing technologies.
