Professor Katrina McFerran is the Head of Music Therapy and Co-Director of the National Music Therapy Research Unit at the University of Melbourne. She has authored several significant works, including Adolescents, Music and Music Therapy (Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2010) and Building Music Cultures in the Schools (Barcelona Publishers, 2014), as well as co-editing Life-long Engagement in Music: Benefits for Health and Well-being (Nova Science, 2012). With over 60 publications in refereed journals, her research focuses on how music can serve as a resource for health and well-being.
