Katharina Rehfeld

Katharina Rehfeld is an Environmental and Resource Economist at EPFL and the International University Geneva. After earning her Ph.D. from the University of Heidelberg, she worked at the Center for European Economic Research in Mannheim. She spent twelve years in China (2004-2016), holding positions at the German Delegation of Industry & Commerce, Allianz China Life Insurance, and Tongji University Shanghai. Since relocating to Switzerland in 2016, she has contributed to EPFL's sustainable infrastructure initiatives, including co-teaching courses on sustainable and resilient infrastructure
