Expert in Power Grid Cybersecurity and Intelligent Energy Systems
Kaikai Pan completed his PhD at TU Delft's Department of Electrical Sustainable Energy, focusing on cyber-secure intelligent power grids. His academic journey began at Beihang University, Beijing, where he earned his BSc in Information Engineering (2012) and MSc in Electrical Engineering (2015), both with honors. His doctoral research, completed in 2020, centered on vulnerability analysis and attack detection in intelligent electrical power grids. His work has earned recognition, including the IEEE Communication Society Travel Grant at SmartGridComm 2017. As a reviewer for prestigious journals including IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, Smart Grid, and Industrial Informatics, he has contributed significantly to the field. After completing his PhD, he joined Zhejiang University as an Assistant Professor, where he continues his research in distributed energy resources security and control systems security. His expertise spans cybersecurity, smart grid technology, and anomaly detection in cyber-physical systems, with particular focus on protecting electronic systems and networks from cyber threats.
