Julio Cesar Garcia Alvarez

Julio Cesar Garcia Alvarez is an accomplished academic and researcher serving as Associate Professor at Universidad Nacional de Colombia. With a PhD in Engineering-Automation, MSc in Electronic and Computer Engineering, and a background in Electronic Engineering, he leads the Applied Electromagnetic Propagation Research Group (PROPELA). Currently serving as Director of the Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Computer Engineering, his expertise spans multimedia systems simulation, mathematical modeling, and radiofrequency electronics. His research contributions include significant work in electromagnetic propagation and antenna analysis, with over 140 academic citations. He has held various leadership positions at the university since 2001, progressing from Associate Instructor to his current role, while maintaining active involvement in teaching analog electronics, communication systems, and industrial telematics.
