José Antonio Olano

José Antonio Olano is the Global Head of Loan Syndicate at Société Générale, a position he has held since January 1, 2017. Based in London, he is responsible for enhancing the bank's loan syndication activities across the EMEA, Americas, and Asia Pacific regions, focusing on optimizing distribution strategies and facilitating collaboration with bond syndicate and loan sales teams globally. Prior to this role, Olano served as Head of Loan Syndicate and Sales for Spain and Portugal, and later for Asia Pacific. He joined Société Générale in 2000 from Deutsche Bank, where he specialized in risk analysis and project finance. In addition to his professional role, he is involved with EDHEC Business School, contributing to courses that prepare students for careers in finance.
