Dr. Jorge Blasco currently serves as Associate Professor at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, having previously held positions at Royal Holloway University of London and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. His academic journey includes completing his PhD in Computer Science in 2012 from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid's COSEC Lab, where his thesis focused on information leakage and steganography. His research expertise spans multiple areas of information security, including data leakage protection technologies, steganography, Android and wearable security, biometrics, and malware analysis. As an educator, he has contributed significantly to Java programming education for freshmen students, developing innovative teaching materials and laboratory resources. His research impact is evidenced by over 1,500 academic citations, with notable contributions to bypassing information leakage protection systems and developing security measures for smart devices. During his time at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid's Computer Security Laboratory, he played a key role in advancing understanding of data protection technologies and security vulnerabilities in trusted applications.
