Delft University of TechnologyJohan Ninan serves as Assistant Professor at TU Delft's Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, where he has earned international recognition through prestigious awards including the 2024 IPMA Global Research Award for his work on "Narratives in Megaprojects" and the PMI Young Researcher Award. His research focuses on transdisciplinary design of infrastructure projects, particularly emphasizing stakeholder engagement and collaboration across diverse disciplines. After completing his PhD jointly from the University of Technology Sydney and Indian Institute of Technology Madras, followed by postdoctoral work at University College London, he brings both academic expertise and practical experience from his time as planning manager at Larsen and Tourbo Infrastructure. At TU Delft, he coordinates the 'Project Management: from Nano to Mega' multidisciplinary minor while contributing to the MSc Construction Management and Engineering program. His research portfolio spans multiple areas including stakeholder engagement, collaboration, innovation, resilience, and ICT in project management, with extensive studies of infrastructure megaprojects across Australia, India, the UK, and the Netherlands. He maintains active involvement in academic leadership through his roles as editor for special collections, guest editor of the Project Management Journal, and board member of the International Journal of Project Management, while contributing to the SAGE research methods collection "Doing Research Online."
