Joan Rovira Forns serves as Associate Professor at the Andalusian School of Public Health and Emeritus Professor at the University of Barcelona's Department of Economic Theory, where he specializes in health economics and pharmaceutical policy. After earning his doctorate in economic sciences, he has established himself as a leading voice in health technology assessment and pharmaceutical economics. His career includes significant roles as Senior Health Economist for Medicines at the World Bank (2001-2004) and Research Director at SOIKOS SL (1988-2006), where he shaped pharmaceutical policy and access strategies.
