After completing her PhD in Philosophy from Leiden University in the Netherlands, she has established herself in the field of art history and cultural studies. Her doctoral dissertation, "The Illusion of Verisimilitude: Johan Nieuhof's Images of China," examines the complex dynamics of cultural representation and artistic interpretation between East and West. Her research interests encompass Western art theory, medieval and early modern history, and the intricate patterns of artistic exchange between Chinese and Western traditions. Through her academic work at Tsinghua University, she continues to explore the intersections of philosophy, art history, and cultural studies while contributing to the understanding of cross-cultural artistic dialogue.
