Tsinghua UniversityProfessor Jia Jun serves as a distinguished faculty member at Tsinghua University's School of Architecture, where he has established himself as a leading expert in Chinese classical gardens and architectural heritage. His academic journey includes a Bachelor's degree from South-East University (1992), a Master's from Beijing Institute of Architecture and Engineering (1998), and a Ph.D. from Tsinghua University (2001). His research focuses on Chinese classical gardens, comparative studies between Chinese and Western architecture, and conservation of historic buildings. As Director of the Library of Architecture and Chief Editor of History of Architecture, he has made significant contributions to architectural scholarship through publications including "Record of Private Garden in Beijing," "Summer Palace," and "Beijing Quadrangle." His teaching portfolio encompasses undergraduate and graduate courses including History of World Ancient Architecture, Chinese Ancient Records and Books, and History of Landscape (Asia). Beyond academia, he serves as a Class 1 Registered Architect in China and has led several significant conservation projects, including the Planning Design for Conservation of the Pagoda in Songyue Temple and the Relics of Yuanming.
