Valencia Polytechnic UniversityJesús Torralba Pérez serves as a PhD candidate in Geomatics Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de València's GeoEnvironmental Cartography and Remote Sensing Group (CGAT). His research focuses on characterizing forest structure and fuel through integrated analysis of Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS), airborne LiDAR, and imaging technologies. After completing his Forestry and Natural Environmental Engineering degree at the University of Castilla-La Mancha and a master's in Remote Sensing from Universidad Mayor in Chile, he began his doctoral research in 2017. His work combines advanced remote sensing techniques with forest resource management, particularly focusing on Mediterranean forest environments in the context of climate change. His expertise spans forest structure analysis, fuel characterization, and the application of multiple remote sensing technologies for environmental monitoring and management.
