Dr. Jessica Fanzo stands as a leading authority in global food systems and nutrition policy, currently serving as Professor of Climate and Director of the Food for Humanity Initiative at Columbia Climate School. Her career spans over two decades of influential work connecting agriculture, health, and environmental sustainability in resource-limited settings.Before joining Columbia in 2023, Fanzo held the prestigious position of Bloomberg Distinguished Professor at Johns Hopkins University, where she led the Global Food Policy and Ethics Program. Her academic journey began with a PhD in Nutrition from the University of Arizona, followed by postdoctoral work in Immunology at Columbia University
