Luise-Katharina Richter

Luise-Katharina Richter serves as an advisor on Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) for the German Development Cooperation (GIZ), where she contributes to the Global Project on Mainstreaming EbA based in Bonn. Prior to this, she played a key role in implementing the ‘Strategic Mainstreaming of Ecosystem-based Adaptation in Viet Nam’ project for GIZ in Hanoi. With a background in journalism and International Development Studies, Luise specialized in environmental protection and climate change during her studies in Denmark and Iceland. Her academic research in Bangladesh also focused on EbA, laying a strong foundation for her current work. Luise teaches the course "Ecosystem-based Adaptation: Working with Nature to Adapt to a Changing Climate" through SDGAcademyX on edX.
