Jeremy Fernando

Jeremy Fernando serves as Senior Teaching Fellow at Imperial College Business School since 2013, where he specializes in Financial and Management Accounting. After earning his BA in Accounting from the University of Kent and obtaining his Post Graduate Certificate in Education, he built an impressive career spanning both industry and academia. His professional experience includes working as an auditor at Kidsons Impey from 1991 to 1994, where he served high-profile clients including Arsenal FC, L'Oreal, Nissan, and the NHS. His academic journey includes teaching positions at prestigious institutions including the London School of Economics, City University, Kingston University, Birkbeck College (University of London), and Helsinki School of Economics. As both a qualified accountant and teacher, he has received recognition for his teaching excellence, including nominations across all categories - Innovation, MBA, MSc, Undergraduate and PhD programs. Through his role at Imperial College Business School, he continues to combine his professional expertise with innovative teaching methods, including developing the "Accounting Essentials" course which helps students master fundamental accounting concepts through a practical, understanding-based approach rather than mere memorization.
