Early Modern Literature and Poetry Scholar
Dr. Jennifer Lewin is a distinguished scholar and teacher of early modern literature, poetry, and academic writing at the University of Haifa, where she has been teaching since 2016. Her scholarly work focuses on Shakespeare, Milton, and early modern poetry, with particular emphasis on themes of sleep, moral agency, and narrative control in Renaissance literature. She has published extensively in prestigious journals including Shakespeare Studies, Renaissance Quarterly, and Shakespeare International Yearbook. Her notable contributions include editing and contributing to "Never Again Would Birdsong Be the Same: Essays on Early Modern and Modern Poetry in Honor of John Hollander." Beyond her academic publications, she is also a poet whose work has appeared in Raritan. At the University of Haifa, she teaches courses in Academic Writing and Introduction to Literary Forms, combining her expertise in early modern literature with practical instruction in academic writing
