Jeffrey Smith

Jeffrey Smith is an Education Manager at Autodesk, where he plays a pivotal role in supporting post-secondary education in the United States, particularly focused on Fusion 360 CAD/CAM software. With over 20 years of experience as an industrial designer, Jeff has directed a consulting firm that served clients across various industries, including fitness equipment and consumer products. His extensive background in design and education is complemented by his previous role as an adjunct faculty member at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, where he taught courses in SolidWorks, product design, and sketching.In his current position, Jeff is dedicated to inspiring and educating the next generation of designers through hands-on demonstrations and teaching. His commitment to education extends beyond the classroom; he actively engages with institutions to enhance design and engineering curricula. A member of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), he also serves as the Florida Chapter Chair. Jeff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology and is passionate about bridging the gap between design innovation and practical application in manufacturing.
