About Me
Janice van Dam serves as a PhD Candidate in the Wehner Group at QuTech, TU Delft, focusing on quantum internet technologies. Her academic journey includes a BSc in Physics and Astronomy from Utrecht University (2020) and an MSc in Applied Physics from TU Delft (2022), specializing in Physics for Quantum Devices and Quantum Computing. Her master's thesis explored satellite-based entanglement distribution, combining work from the Wehner and Borregaard groups at QuTech. Her current doctoral research focuses on designing photonic clients for blind quantum computing in metropolitan quantum networks as part of the Quantum Internet Alliance. As a science communicator and QuTech speaker, she has presented her research at prestigious venues including the European Space Agency, engaging audiences in both popular science and technical discussions of quantum internet development
