Jane Wortman

Jane Wortman served as a mathematics educator at Beverly Hills High School from 1976 to 2014, where she taught AP Calculus from 1989 and served as Mathematics Department Chair (1995-2014). Her expertise in AP Calculus is demonstrated through her extensive involvement with the AP Calculus Reading program since 2003, where she has served in multiple roles including Reader, Table Leader, Question Team Member, and Question Leader. Her contributions to mathematics education extend beyond the classroom through her work as an instructor for Teachers Teaching With Technology (T^3) and her active membership in professional organizations including NCTM, MAA, and the California Mathematics Council. In the AP Calculus BC course, she leads instruction on series-related topics, including Introduction to Series, Series Convergence, and Series Manipulation
