Jake Smith

Jake Smith is an Instructor in the Flores MBA Program and the Rucks Department of Management at Louisiana State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a focus on Management from LSU in 2019, following a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in 2005. Dr. Smith has received several accolades for his teaching excellence, including the LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (Graduate) for the 2020-2021 academic year and the Graduate Teaching Assistant Award in 2017-2018. He has also been recognized for his research contributions, receiving honors such as Best Paper Proceedings at the Academy of Management Meeting in 2018 and Best in Track Paper at the Southwest Academy of Management Conference in 2016.
