Dr. Ingeborg Bajema is a Nephropathologist at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), focusing on immune-mediated diseases such as ANCA-associated glomerulonephritis and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Since joining LUMC in 2002, she has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and is actively involved in various nephropathology working groups, including the Mayo Consensus Working Group on Glomerulonephritis and the EULAR/ERA Task Force for ANCA-associated vasculitis. Dr. Bajema serves as a member of the Research Committee of the International Renal Pathology Society and is the secretary of the Presidential Council of the European Vasculitis Study Group. She plays a significant role in medical education at Leiden University, co-coordinating the second-year course "Mechanisms of Disease" and lecturing in several postgraduate courses. Additionally, she teaches the course Clinical Kidney, Pancreas and Islet Transplantation, sharing her expertise with medical students and professionals in the field.
